WebStratocasters sound scooped, lots of highs and lows with little midrange. The bridge pickup on a Strat is very bright and thin, much more than a Telecaster. It doesn’t really hold up with a clean tone, unlike a Tele, but it’s fantastic with crunch and overdrive. I understand why a lot of players put humbuckers here.
