Then some others followed trying to get his body, causing even more people to go in trying to get their bodies. 105 dwarfs just died. Dying IS fun, but fix that please. Everybody literally just committed suicide because one guy tried to take a dog nose out of a filled moat. Dwarves will go down the ramp to get the sunken items/bodies if they're right below the pump. Then ramp the rest of your river banks and bodies of water so that this doesn't happen again.
